Cornish Cream Teas and more !

Muffins
has a spacious walled garden behind the tea room,
allowing customers to relax outside during warm weather.
Generally the garden is open from May to September, weather
permitting. Join us in the morning for a late, leisurely
breakfast, midday for a light lunch, or for a cream
tea in the afternoon.
If you are feeling peckish in the afternoon then why not try a Luxury Full English tea? This comprises a smoked salmon sandwich, scone with jam and cream and a piece of cake, along with a pot of tea, of course.
There is a fine view of St. Bartholomew’s church from Muffins Tea Garden. It is thought that Robert de Cardinan commenced building the church in 1190 on the foundations of an earlier Church built around 542 AD.
The outstanding feature
of the Church is its Lantern Spire. The tower is square and buttressed
and rests on the North and South sides on arches which were, at one
time, open and formed a right of way through the tower. This was closed
and doors fixed at the time of the restoration of the Church in 1878-9.
Surmounting the tower is the very beautiful, octagonal Lantern Spire
built in the Early English style of architecture.
English Weather
Obviously the garden is only open weather permitting. We use two main sources of information to check the weather :-
